Our Credentials

1. Executive Briefings on International Affairs

We provide executive-level briefings on domestic and international political, security, and economic developments — always with a focus on business implications. We help decision-makers understand “what they need to know” and “how to think” when navigating today’s geopolitical complexity.

(1) Forbes JAPAN SALON Morning Seminar

On June 12, 2025, our representative delivered a keynote at the Forbes JAPAN SALON morning seminar for corporate executives. The talk, titled “Why CEOs Must Pay Attention to Politics and International Affairs — A Lobbyist’s Perspective on the Emerging World Order,” focused on how businesses should interpret shifting political and economic landscapes amid rising geopolitical risk and the decline of globalism.
Key themes included:

Defensive perspective: Risks such as a Taiwan contingency, cyberattacks, technology leakage, and hostile takeovers.

Offensive perspective: Successful cases of public-private collaboration in Japan and the increasing overlap between government and emerging dual-use technologies such as AI, robotics, and quantum computing.

Future orientation: How to build strategy, organizations, and talent that interpret political currents to protect the firm and pursue growth.

(2) Briefing for U.S. Congressional Staff

On May 27, 2025, as part of the “U.S. Congressional Staff Exchange Program” hosted by the Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE), we briefed a visiting delegation of U.S. congressional staff in Tokyo. Topics included Japan’s domestic political situation, the outlook for the summer’s Upper House election, and the future trajectory of the U.S.–Japan alliance, followed by active discussion.

(3) Lecture for a Major U.S. Tech Company

In December 2024, we delivered an internal lecture for a major U.S.-based tech firm on the risks posed by a potential Taiwan contingency to global business operations.

(4) Legal & Business Policy Forum Lecture

On December 3, 2024, we presented at a Legal and Business Policy Forum on the topic of “International Affairs After the U.S. Presidential Election: Risks Facing Japanese Businesses.”

2. Public Affairs & Government Relations Advisory

We support companies in building meaningful relationships with national and local governments as part of their business growth and strategic initiatives. Our work includes advising on regulatory response, designing central-local government partnerships, stakeholder mapping in specific sectors, and formulating strategic engagement approaches. We also assist with public messaging through media and social platforms, and provide support for executive speeches and announcements.

(1) Reputation Advisory for a Stablecoin Startup

We provided long-term strategic communication support for a startup issuing a Japanese yen–pegged stablecoin. Our guidance helped the client engage with investors and media both in Japan and internationally, strengthen its domestic business foundation, and build trust with relevant regulators.

(2) Business Development and Policy Engagement for a Major U.S. Tech Firm

We supported a major U.S. tech firm in introducing its services to Japanese ministries and municipalities. Our role included designing and executing outreach to key personnel at government agencies and senior local officials. We also arranged opportunities to share intelligence gained from overseas markets with policymakers and hosted a joint event with leading Japanese think tanks to position the company’s technology as a tool for public interest, thereby strengthening its credibility and expanding business opportunities.

(3) Event Design for Public-Private Strategy Dialogue

We assisted Publink Inc. with planning and operating a major June 2025 conference on “Japan’s Global Strategy and Public–Private Collaboration.” The event brought together leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mitsubishi Electric, EY, and startups, focusing on national security, economic security, and trade policies. Our firm contributed to both the event concept and on-stage participation, helping to advance dialogue and co-creation between government and industry in strategic domains.
